How to calculate
Convert overs.balls to legal balls, then calculate current run rate and required rate against the remaining target and balls.
Current RR=6×runs/balls; required RR=6×remaining runs/remaining balls
Worked example
100 runs after 12.3 overs means 75 legal balls. In a 20-over chase of 161, 61 runs remain from 45 balls: required rate about 8.133333 runs per over.
Assumptions and input details
Each over is six legal balls. The point separates overs and balls rather than decimal fractions. Enter the actual target, including any externally supplied revision. This does not calculate DLS, net run rate, wicket-based outcomes, no-ball/wide legality or competition rules. Target reached and no-balls-remaining cases are reported explicitly.

Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
