Calculation steps

How to calculate
Calculate availability, performance and quality from a single consistent planned-time and production-count basis.
OEE=(run/planned)×(ideal cycle×total/run)×(good/total)=ideal cycle×good/planned
Worked example
Planned 480 min, stops 60 min, ideal cycle 1 min, 350 total and 340 good parts give OEE 70.8333333%. Losses are 60 stop,70 speed and10 quality minutes.
Assumptions and input details
Planned time must be positive, stops strictly less than planned time, total count a positive integer and good count between zero and total. Mixed-product counts need a valid common ideal-cycle basis. Performance above 100% is rejected for inconsistent cycle/count inputs. Planned breaks outside production time should already be excluded. No target OEE, staffing recommendation, calendar utilization or automatic machine data collection is supplied.

Unit definitions
Unit selection is independent of language. Each selector contains only units for its physical quantity. Calculations use defined base units internally.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Compare cumulative-average and individual-unit learning models and calculate time for an additional batch.
Compare an entered process mean and standard deviation with two specification limits and estimate normal-model tail proportions.
Compare whole-pack order quantities using entered ordering and holding costs, with minimum-order and reorder-point assumptions.
