Calculation steps

How to calculate
Normalize energy per mole, multiplying a per-entity electronvolt by the exact elementary charge and Avogadro constant.
1 eV/entity=(1.602176634×10⁻¹⁹)×(6.02214076×10²³) J/mol
Worked example
1 eV per entity is approximately 96.4853321 kJ/mol. One thermochemical kcal/mol is 4.184 kJ/mol.
Assumptions and input details
Specify the entity consistently, such as molecules, atoms or formula units. The conversion compares the same energy basis; it does not select a reaction, thermal state, activation energy or molar mass. The elementary charge and Avogadro constant use their exact SI definitions. A single entity’s energy is not a whole sample’s total energy.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
