How to calculate
Normalize the nuclear disintegration rate to becquerels, or disintegrations per second.
1 Ci = 3.7×10¹⁰ Bq; 1 dpm = 1/60 Bq
Worked example
1 µCi is 37000 Bq or 2220000 dpm. One MBq is 1000000 Bq.
Assumptions and input details
Becquerels describe activity, not absorbed dose, equivalent dose or exposure. Disintegrations per minute are not detector counts per minute: counts need detector efficiency and measurement corrections. The converter retains the stated activity time; no isotope, half-life, decay correction, exposure estimate or medical amount is inferred.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Convert the same absorbed dose between gray, rad and their prefixes.
Apply an entered constant growth or decay rate to an initial quantity. Compare periodic and continuous models, view a time curve and find doubling time or half-life.
Enter a list of numbers to calculate mean, median, modes, quartiles, population and sample standard deviation, with a frequency histogram.
