Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Use the browser’s named-zone rules to find the instant matching every source local date/time field. Verify candidate offsets around the entered date and format the selected instant in the destination zone.
Destination local time=selected UTC instant+destination offset at that instant
Worked example
2026-10-26 12:00:00 in Asia/Tokyo is 2026-10-25 23:00:00 in America/New_York under the corresponding zone rules. In New York, 2026-11-01 01:30:00 occurs twice and needs an occurrence choice.
Assumptions and input details
Enter source local years 1970–2100, with whole seconds and no UTC suffix. Use IANA names such as Asia/Tokyo, Europe/London, America/New_York, Australia/Lord_Howe or UTC, not ambiguous abbreviations such as CST. Uses the browser’s Intl time-zone database; rule accuracy depends on that runtime and may change with government decisions. A skipped source time/date is rejected. A repeated source time requires explicit earlier/later selection; available candidates are shown. Offset candidates are sampled over ±48 hours around the local date, then matched against every entered field. No appointments, external API calls or live clock are created.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Convert Unix seconds or milliseconds to an explicit UTC date/time, or convert a UTC Gregorian date/time to both timestamp forms.
Count calendar days between two Gregorian dates, optionally including both endpoints. View the direction, week breakdown and Monday–Friday versus weekend counts.
Add or subtract up to 100 durations. Use signed clock durations or decimal hours, minutes or seconds, then compare the exact total and running sums.
