Calculation steps

How to calculate
Combine the capacity factor and time factor to express volume flow in cubic meters per second.
1 US gpm=0.003785411784/60 m³/s; 1 cfm=0.3048³/60 m³/s
Worked example
10 US liquid gallons per minute is 37.85411784 L/min. Ten Imperial gallons per minute would instead be 45.4609 L/min.
Assumptions and input details
This converts volumetric flow at the same stated conditions. US and Imperial gallons are explicit. cfm here is actual cubic feet per minute; it does not convert standard to actual gas flow or infer pressure, temperature, density, pipe sizing, pump performance or irrigation delivery.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
