Worked example
One international acre is 4046.8564224 m², or 43560 ft². One hectare is 10000 m².
Assumptions and input details
Square-foot, acre and square-mile values use the international foot, not the retired US survey foot. This converts an already known area and does not measure parcel geometry, usable floor space or a legal land description. Area factors are squared length factors; multiplying square feet by 0.3048 would be incorrect.
