Assumptions and input details
This accepts one numeric length, including a simple fraction such as 1/2. Feet and yards use the international foot of exactly 0.3048 m. Nautical miles are 1852 m. Legacy US survey-foot coordinates and mixed feet/inch notation are separate tasks; this does not change a surveying datum.
