Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Apply percentage reductions one after another, cap the fixed coupon at remaining goods value, then add entered goods tax and shipping.
Goods=max[0,subtotal×Π(1−discount)−coupon]; total=goods×(1+entered tax)+shipping
Worked example
100 less 20%, then 10%, leaves 72. A coupon of 5 leaves 67. Shipping of 4 and entered tax of 0% give a total of 71. The two percentage discounts combine to 28%.
Assumptions and input details
This is the explicitly stated arithmetic order; store eligibility, minimum spend, coupon priority and local tax treatment can differ. Shipping is entered as a final amount and is not taxed again by this model. Tax is a user-entered scenario, with no jurisdiction inferred. Discounts0–100%,up to20steps; coupon cannot make goods value negative. Values are rounded for display at the end.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
