Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Calculate the logistic expected score and apply equal and opposite rating changes with a common K.
EA=1/(1+10^((B−A)/scale)); change A=K×(score A−EA)
Worked example
Equal 1500 ratings, K=32 and an A win give A 1516 and B 1484 in this custom model.
Assumptions and input details
This configurable logistic model is not an official FIDE or other federation implementation. No table lookup, rating caps, provisional rules, player-specific K or official rounding is applied. Expected score is not automatically a calibrated win probability.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Build a configurable standings table from recorded match scores.
Compare an entered scoring-power model with a recorded season win count.
Analyze unequal measured lap distances and actual elapsed splits with a distance-weighted overall pace.
