How to calculate
Sum actual distance and time, then calculate per-lap pace and the weighted overall pace.
Overall seconds/km=total seconds/total kilometers; cumulative time=sum recorded splits
Worked example
1000 m in 5:00 and 500 m in 2:20 give 1500 m in 7:20, or 4:53.333 per km overall, rather than an unweighted mean of the two lap paces.
Assumptions and input details
Each elapsed value is one lap duration, not a cumulative timestamp. All distances use the selected unit. Bare numbers mean seconds. The output summarizes recorded data without projecting an event finish or prescribing a training pace.
Unit definitions
Unit selection is independent of language. Each selector contains only units for its physical quantity. Calculations use defined base units internally.
Choose from 23 length definitions, including explicitly labelled regional measures. Area conversions square the length factor; geometric volumes cube it.
Regional measures are not interchangeable merely because their names look similar. This is a documented selection, not a claim to include every historical unit.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Find pace, elapsed time or distance from the other two. Compare minutes per kilometer and mile, inspect split times and estimate constant-pace finish times.
Enter a list of numbers to calculate mean, median, modes, quartiles, population and sample standard deviation, with a frequency histogram.
Summarize recorded one-way pool lengths using an explicit stroke-count convention.
