Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Add credit-weighted quality points, include optional prior study and solve for a future credit-weighted target.
GPA=Σ(credits×grade points)/Σcredits; future GPA=[target(total+future credits)−current quality points]/future credits
Worked example
Courses of 3 credits at 4 points, 3 credits at 3 points and 4 credits at 3.5 points give 35 quality points over 10 credits: GPA 3.5. With 15 future credits, maintaining GPA 3.5 needs a future GPA of 3.5.
Assumptions and input details
Enter the numerical grade points defined by your school; the maximum-scale input does not translate letter grades or convert between institutions. Exclude pass/fail, withdrawn or repeated credits according to school policy. Up to100courses and10000prior/future credits. Course names label the rows; no transcript upload, admission prediction or automatic academic rounding is provided.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Enter paired values and weights to calculate a weighted mean. Inspect normalized weight shares, each contribution and a comparison with the unweighted average.
Find the final-exam percentage and whole marks required for a target course percentage.
Calculate a two-sided confidence interval for a population mean from summary statistics. Choose Student t with sample SD or z with a known population SD.
