Multi-Currency Calculator
Add balances in different currencies and convert the total into one currency. Includes negative balances, a breakdown table and a currency chart.
COMBINED BALANCE
Total in selected currency
β
- Original currencies
- β
Reference conversion only. Exchange fees, transfer charges and taxes are excluded. A negative total is a net debt.
Balances and conversion breakdown
Every bar uses the selected total currency, so amounts in different currencies can be compared. Negative bars show debts.
| Original balance | Rate per 1 original unit | Converted balance |

How to add amounts in different currencies
Choose the currency for your total. Each balance is multiplied by its rate into that currency, then the converted amounts are added. An amount already in the total currency uses a rate of 1.
Total = Ξ£(balance Γ conversion rate)
Worked example
Using illustrative rates of 1 EUR = 1.25 USD and 1 JPY = 0.00625 USD: 100 USD + 80 EUR β 1,600 JPY = 100 + 100 β 10 = 190 USD. This example is independent of the dated reference rates loaded in the calculator.
Useful for travel, sales and balances
Add cash left over from several trips, combine overseas sales totals, or compare positive balances and debts. Calculations use a single dated rate snapshot and do not reconstruct historical accounting values.
Common questions
Can I enter the same currency more than once?
Yes. Each row appears in the breakdown; the chart groups repeated currencies. You can keep separate amounts for separate wallets or accounts without logging in.
When were the exchange rates obtained?
The rate date and the site retrieval timestamp are shown separately, with the timestamp in UTC. A recent retrieval does not mean that the rates are live. The same date information is included when you copy the result.
Are my balances saved or uploaded?
Calculations stay in your browser. This page downloads a stored reference-rate file; it does not send your entered balances to a calculation server. Reloading resets the entries.
