Full precision is used internally. Displayed amounts follow each currency’s usual decimal places. Very small nonzero amounts show extra decimals so they do not disappear as zero.
No. The site stores daily indicative rates from the open-source Exchange API project and calculates cross rates from its US dollar rates. The rate date and the time this site retrieved the data are shown separately beside the rate. Retrieval time uses UTC and is updated only after a successful server-side download, not when you open the page. The rate date can be earlier than today. They are for information; your bank or payment provider may use a different rate. You can enter that rate yourself.
No. Tax rules depend on the destination, product, and shipment. Enter any known import taxes and local charges in the destination currency yourself. Leaving that field at zero excludes those charges from the total; it does not mean your order is tax-free.
The calculator runs in your browser. It downloads a small stored rate file from this site. Your entered amounts and calculations stay in your browser; your browser does not contact an external rate provider. Your language choice is remembered in a preference cookie when cookies are available.
