Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Expand trays into individual tasks and assign each next task to the earliest available slot.
Start=max slot availability including between-task changeover; finish=start+entered occupancy
Worked example
Two slots, 10 min preheat, three 15 min trays and two 25 min trays finish at 69 min in input order with 2 min per-slot changeovers.
Assumptions and input details
Every tray must be compatible with common oven conditions and occupy one independent identical slot. Longest-first is a heuristic, not guaranteed optimal. No bake time, temperature, thermal recovery, food readiness or food-safety recommendation is generated. At most 500 trays.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
