Calculation steps

How to calculate
Multiply cleanable area by pass count and divide by the entered effective coverage rate. Add powered overhead, split work across full-charge runtime segments, then insert downtime only between segments.
Powered time=cleanable area×passes/rate+powered overhead; segments=ceil(powered time/runtime)
Worked example
80 m² at 2 m²/min takes 40 minutes of coverage. Add 5 powered minutes and use a 30-minute working battery: two working segments need one 180-minute recharge/change pause, totaling 225 minutes.
Assumptions and input details
Starts fully charged with equal usable runtime on each segment. Enter a measured effective coverage rate; no mapping, navigation, floor-type, dirt or battery-condition prediction is supplied. Powered overhead consumes runtime; unpowered preparation does not. No pause is added after the final segment. Up to 10000 segments are supported; long schedules show the first 99 and the final segment, with omissions disclosed.
Unit definitions
Unit selection is independent of language. Each selector contains only units for its physical quantity. Calculations use defined base units internally.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
