Calculation steps

How to calculate
Count completed calendar anniversaries, enforce the cliff and floor cumulative award fractions at each entered schedule interval.
Cumulative units=0 before cliff; afterward floor(total units×completed scheduled months/duration)
Worked example
1000 units over 48 months with a 12-month cliff and monthly intervals vest 250 units at the cliff. At 18 completed months, cumulative whole units are 375.
Assumptions and input details
Duration and cliff must be multiples of the interval. Dates anchor to the original grant day and clamp to month end when needed. The cliff catches up the elapsed fraction; whole-unit floors apply cumulatively, with all units vested at the final date. Actual award documents, employment breaks, performance conditions, forfeiture, acceleration, exercise price and tax rules are not inferred.

Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
