Calculation steps

How to calculate
Increase outstanding shares by the new issue and your holding by subscribed shares. Add issue proceeds to the pre-issue market capitalization for a simplified theoretical price.
Ownership after=(held+subscribed)/(outstanding+issued); theoretical price=(old cap+issue proceeds)/(new share total)
Worked example
With one million existing shares, 10000 held and 200000 new shares, no subscription reduces ownership from 1% to 0.833333%. At old price 20 and issue price 15, theoretical post-issue price is 19.166667.
Assumptions and input details
All new shares have equal rights. Subscribed shares are included within, not added beyond, total new shares. This mechanical model omits issue fees, rights value, warrants, convertibles, earnings changes and market repricing. It is not a prediction. Subscription cash is separated from modeled holding-value changes. No live market data or national tax rules are inferred. Enter consistent amounts in one currency unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Adjust share count, theoretical price and arithmetic cost allocation for a split, including fractional residuals.
