Calculation steps

How to calculate
Build a consistent campaign revenue and direct-cost breakdown, then derive ROAS and a break-even ratio on retained revenue.
Retained revenue=orders×AOV×(1−refund); contribution=retained revenue×(1−fee)−orders×cost−ad spend
Worked example
100 orders at 80, 5% revenue refunds, 3% fees, 25 fulfillment cost per order and 2000 ad spend give retained revenue of 7600, ROAS 3.8 and contribution after ad spend of 2872.
Assumptions and input details
Orders cannot exceed clicks, and clicks cannot exceed impressions. Counts must refer to the same attribution window. Product/fulfillment cost is charged on all orders with no refund recovery. The break-even ratio uses the same refund and cost basis. Tax, fixed overhead, repeated purchases and attribution accuracy are excluded; no future performance is predicted.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Calculate gross margin, price markup and contribution after entered selling fees. Reverse a target contribution margin to find the required selling price.
Compare sales revenue with fixed and variable costs. Find the break-even quantity, the first whole-unit quantity without a loss and profit at your chosen sales volume.
Compare two conversion proportions, percentage-point difference, relative lift, a pooled z statistic and a clearly labelled normal-approximation interval.
