Calculation steps

How to calculate
Divide face by contractual conversion price for the share entitlement, value those shares at the entered stock price and compare with the bond’s market price.
Conversion ratio=face/conversion price; conversion value=ratio×stock price; premium=bond price−conversion value
Worked example
Face 1000 and contractual conversion price 50 imply 20 shares. At share price 45 the conversion value is 900; bond price 1100 carries a 200 premium and reaches parity at share price 55.
Assumptions and input details
Arithmetic immediate-conversion comparison only, not a full convertible valuation. No issuer-specific rounding, accrued coupon, calls/puts, conversion restrictions, credit risk, tax or option value is inferred. A zero stock price makes percentage premium undefined. Negative conversion premium is reported without assuming an executable arbitrage. No live market data or national tax rules are inferred. Enter consistent amounts in one currency unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
