How to calculate
Normalize conductance per length to siemens per meter using both the electrical prefix and length denominator.
1 S/cm=100 S/m; 1 mS/cm=0.1 S/m; 1 µS/cm=0.0001 S/m
Worked example
1000 µS/cm equals 0.1 S/m, or 1 mS/cm.
Assumptions and input details
Conductivity and conductance differ by a length denominator. A mho is another name for a siemens. Measurement temperature, cell calibration and sample composition are unchanged; no salinity, dissolved-solids estimate, material identification or temperature compensation is inferred. Resistivity is a separate reciprocal property, not another unit in this list.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
