Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Choose the entered percentage deduction base, add fixed tax deductions and subtract all entered deduction categories from gross pay.
Remaining=gross−pre-tax deductions−tax base×entered rate−fixed tax−after-tax deductions
Worked example
Gross 1000, pre-tax deductions 100, entered 20% tax on the remaining 900 and after-tax deductions 50 leave 670 in the chosen currency.
Assumptions and input details
This does not calculate a country’s income tax, social contributions or payroll withholding. Rates, deduction treatment and amounts must be supplied by you for the same pay period. Eligibility, brackets, caps, benefits, filing status and local law are not inferred. Remaining pay may be negative if entered deductions exceed gross; no refund or debit is executed.

Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
