Calculation steps
Work through one step at a time or reveal the complete calculation. The steps use your current inputs.
How to calculate
Parse an allowlisted numeric grammar, evaluate real-valued functions and report the actual operation order without executing code.
Supported: + β * / ^ !, parentheses, pi, e, sin cos tan asin acos atan sqrt cbrt ln log exp abs floor ceil
Worked example
In degree mode, sin(30)^2+cos(30)^2 evaluates to 1. Powers associate right to left, so 2^3^2 is 512, and β2^2 means β4.
Assumptions and input details
Up to 500 characters, 200 tokens and nesting depth 30. Factorial accepts whole numbers 0β69. All results must be finite real values with magnitude at most 1e100. log is base 10, ln is natural log, and e notation is supported in numbers. Implicit multiplication, variables, assignments, property access and arbitrary code are rejected. Near-singular tangent is rejected rather than showing a misleading huge number.
Using this calculator
Can I enter my own problem?
Yes. Replace the example values with your own inputs. The result, calculation steps, tables and applicable diagrams update from those inputs. Blank or invalid values clear the result; example values are never silently substituted for missing inputs.
Are the results exact?
Results use floating-point arithmetic and displayed rounding. Read the formula, assumptions and any stated data precision before interpreting the result.
Is my input uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser. No account, file upload or external AI service is required. Inputs are not saved between page reloads.
Evaluate a numeric expression with parentheses, powers and the four arithmetic operations. Follow the actual evaluation order and keep an exact fraction answer.
Enter an angle in degrees or radians to find six trigonometric functions. Explore a unit-circle diagram and sine/cosine graphs.
Calculate a real logarithm in any valid base, or raise that base to an exponent. Compare natural, binary and decimal logarithms and inspect the inverse relationship.
