How to calculate
Multiply signed price movement by direction, contract multiplier and count, then subtract both-side per-contract fees and other total fees.
Gross P/L=direction×(exit−entry)×multiplier×contracts; tick value=tick×multiplier
Worked example
Two long contracts rising 5000→5010 with multiplier 50 gain 1000 gross. At 2.5 per contract per side, round-trip fees are 10 and net P/L is 990.
Assumptions and input details
Prices must lie on the entered zero-origin tick grid within floating-point precision; negative futures prices are supported. Multiplier and tick are entered, not looked up. Margin is only an optional return denominator, not maximum loss or a liquidation model. Financing, daily cash variation timing, FX and tax are excluded. Losses may exceed initial margin. No live market data or national tax rules are inferred. Enter consistent amounts in one currency unless explicitly stated otherwise.
