How to calculate
For each order add fixed and proportional commission, apply the minimum and optional cap, then add the independently entered proportional spread cost.
Commission=min(optional cap,max(minimum,fixed+notional×rate)); cost=commission+notional×spread rate
Worked example
For an order of 1000, fixed commission 1 plus 0.1% is 2. With spread cost 0.05%, total modeled cost is 2.5.
Assumptions and input details
Exactly two user-defined schedules and 1–100 positive order notionals. A zero cap explicitly means uncapped, not free. Minimum cannot exceed a positive cap. Spread is an entered total cost fraction of notional, not automatically half of a quoted spread. No broker catalogue, discounts, tax or FX conversion. No live market data or national tax rules are inferred. Enter consistent amounts in one currency unless explicitly stated otherwise.
